VMS pricing pages are built to look cheap at low volume. The real question is what you pay in a year once your orders grow. Below we do the maths with a real, publicly listed per-order plan and compare it with ClaimVMS’s flat pricing.
The two pricing models
- Per-order / per-video pricing: a monthly base fee covers a set number of orders, then you pay for every extra order. Videos are stored on the vendor’s cloud for a fixed number of days.
- Flat-fee pricing (ClaimVMS): one yearly licence per packing station, starting at ₹5,000, unlimited videos, stored on your own system.

At 3,000 orders a month, the per-order plan costs about seven times more per year. And on that plan your videos disappear after 45 days.
Note: very high volumes usually need more than one packing station. Even at three or four stations, ClaimVMS stays a fraction of the per-order bill. Check ClaimVMS pricing for multi-station plans.
The retention trap
Per-order plans keep your videos for 30 to 180 days. Marketplace claims, chargebacks and courier disputes can arrive later than that, especially during return-heavy seasons. With ClaimVMS the files sit on your system, so you decide how long to keep them.
What ClaimVMS does not charge for
- Per video or per order
- Cloud storage
- Top-ups or credit expiry
- Desktop installation or reinstallation
What to budget on your side
A one-time external drive for backups, a webcam per station, and your existing PC. For most sellers that is a one-time spend lower than two months of per-order fees.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a VMS cost in India?
Per-order packing video plans range from a few hundred to several thousand rupees a month, rising with order volume. ClaimVMS starts at ₹5,000 per year flat, with unlimited videos.
Is per-video pricing ever cheaper?
Only at very low and very steady volume. Once you ship more than a few hundred orders a month, flat pricing wins.
Does ClaimVMS charge GST?
GST applies as per Indian law. Confirm the final amount on the pricing page or with our team.
Why do per-video VMS tools delete old videos?
Because storing video on their cloud costs them money. Videos stored on your own system have no such limit.
